Rockville Cemetery is seeking an exceptional candidate for Community Director. This is a full time position based in Rockville, MD.

Community Director will represent the Rockville Cemetery with a wide variety of matters including Marketing & Sales, Interment/Burials, and Administration. As one of the primary contacts, the Community Director is a high-profile position working with the general public and families.

  • Marketing & Sales: Responds to all public inquiries and requests to purchase grounds sites and columbarium niche spaces for interment use.
  • Interment/Burials: Requires managing all requests received from site owners and funeral service providers to schedule interment.
  • Administration: Handles of all forms, physical and digital records, and updates database.

Required Skills and Experience:

Ability to work effectively with the public and RCA Board Members and demonstrate mature judgment. Very good written and oral communication and organizational skills. Experience in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Cloud Based platforms. Knowledge of funeral services industry.

Rockville Cemetery is our community’s oldest burial ground, located on Baltimore Road near the eastern edge of the City of Rockville, county seat of Montgomery County, MD. The cemetery features the best of three centuries of landscape design, with gravestones dating from 1752 to the present. It is a designated Rockville Historic District.
