Support Historic Rockville Cemetery
Since 1880, historic Rockville Cemetery continues to serve the community as an active and respectful burial ground, and only through the efforts of citizen stewards who provide for its preservation, maintenance, and administration. There are many ways in which concerned individuals, organized groups, and interested organizations can help sustain our efforts.
Donate By Check Or Credit Card
Monetary contributions are an instant method of supporting our cemetery, and contribute directly to preservation efforts, specific interests identified, or simply shared in honor and remembrance of a loved one. In addition, as Rockville Cemetery Association is recognized by the IRS as a private 501(c)(13) non-profit organization, monetary contributions are tax-deductible.

Join the RCA Board of Directors
Volunteering as a member of the RCA Board of Directors is a most respectable expression of your concern for our historic cemetery, and your unique knowledge, skills, and abilities can be applied to the administration of Rockville Cemetery in countless ways. Since 1880, the roster of local citizens who have selflessly served as directors reads like a “Who’s Who” of local history with recognizable names, including city officials, business owners, professionals, and prominent family members. Their contributions as stewards preserving the gravesites of countless past generations have served as shining examples for those who follow to sustain the cemetery’s condition and function. As history has demonstrated, RCA directors are a most critical cemetery asset.
Volunteer directors serve three-year terms on a staggered basis to maintain active participation. The only initial requirement is to attend monthly meetings conducted on the evening of each second Tuesday to discuss relevant cemetery operations. As directors gain more knowledge, however, they are expected to apply increasing experience and their unique skillsets in support of particular projects, activities, or administrative functions.
Assisting with the caretaking of a historic cemetery is a most noble way to pay respects to generations of families and citizens who have gone before us. If you, or someone you know, has available time and interest to contribute in support of this cultural treasure, and especially if you enjoy assisting visitors and families who are a part of the active cemetery landscape, we strongly encourage and invite you to learn more about becoming an RCA director!
